Hvis du gerne vil være i office er det en klar fordel at du taler grønlandsk og engelsk og også gerne dansk. Du skal være frisk, smilende og åben, god til at takle stressede situationer og klar på at kaste dig over lidt af hvert.

This is where artists, volunteers and festival guests inquire with various sorts of things, and this is also where people go to exchange their tickets for festival bracelets. At the office you need to know everything that is going on, or at least know how to find out.

If you would like to be in office, it is a clear advantage that you speak Greenlandic and English and preferably also Danish. You must be out-going and smiling, good at dealing with stressful situations and willing to be met with various sorts of tasks.

Som stagehand er det vigtigt at du er frisk og initiativrig, og ikke er bange for at tage fat, også selvom det giver sved på panden. Det er en fordel at du har kørekort, men det er ikke et krav.

(EN) Stagehands are the lighting and sound technician's extra hands. As a stagehand, you will play an important role in making the musicians on stage sound the best possible. You will help set up the stage, help make sure the music sounds good during the concert, help during change-overs and also help packing down equipment afterwards.

As a stage hand, it is important that you are not afraid to take initiative, even if it causes a bit of sweat. It is an advantage if you have a driver's license, but this is not a requirement.

Som bartender møder du ind lidt før det officielle åbningstidspunkt og hjælper med at sætte baren op, så den er klar til gæster, serverer drikkevarer og holder baren pæn i løbet af aftenen, og hjælper med at rydde op efter lukketid.

Bemærk, at barpersonale ifølge grønlandsk lovgivning skal have et certifikat til udskænkning og salg af alkohol. Dette er et kursus der skal gennemføres online.

(EN) The bartenders are the ones behind the bar, serving drinks to festival goers, artists and others during the concerts. Behind the bar the mood is always high and you get to interact with both guests and artists. As a bartender, it is important that you can keep a good overview even when busy, and that you are able to do this with a smile.

As a bartender, you come in a little before the official opening time and help set the bar up for guests, serve drinks during concerts, keep the bar tidy throughout the evening, and help clean up after closing-time.

Please note that, according to Greenlandic law, bar staff must have a certificate for serving and selling alcohol. This is a course to be completed online.

Du vil komme til at møde mange af kunstnerne, så det er en klar fordel at du taler engelsk, og ikke er tilbageholdende overfor at snakke med nye mennesker. Det minder lidt om at være turistguide, og den primære opgave er at få folk til at hygge sig under hele deres ophold.

(EN) A lot of artists and guests come to Sisimiut during Arctic Sounds, and it is important that they feel welcome during their stay. The hospitality volunteers facilitate activities during the day, where there are no concerts. This could e.g. be a guided walk in the city, cross country skiing or a tobogganing day.

You will meet many of the artists, so it is a clear advantage that you speak English and are not reluctant to talk to new people. It is a bit like being a tourist guide and the primary task is to get people to enjoy themselves throughout their stay.

(DA) Med så mange scener spredt ud over hele byen vil der være en masse ting der skal transporteres. Det kan både være teknisk udstyr, instrumenter, frivillige, kunstnere, delegerede osv.

Her er kørekort selvfølgelig et krav, og hvis du har stort kørekort vil vi især gerne have dig med på dette hold. Bemærk at arbejdstiderne kan være lidt “skæve”, forstået således at der også vil skulle transporteres ting om natten efter endt program.

(EN) As a volunteer in catering, you will help the team from Igapall’ prepare, cook, and serve the food for artists and others. Afterwards they will also need help with packing down and doing dishes. It is also possible to be at the School of Rocks (main venue) café where tasks will include making coffee and selling snacks and sandwiches to guests and artists.
