NANA JACOBI
Nana Jacobi is known for a large voice, powerful indiepop songs, and strong live performances. But also her pink hair, and a clear voice in the debate, when it comes to fighting for diversity and equality in the music industry. Besides being a pop artist, songwriter and film composer, she is also the CEO of HUN SOLO - a concert project and label for women and gender minorities in Denmark.
In the summer of 2024, Jacobi released the single ‘Når Jeg Danser Bålet’. A sensual midsummersong, for people to sing together. The song spread like wildfire - people sung it all over the country by ‘Skt Hans’ bonfires, and she performed the song herself in Go’ Morgen Danmark, at Northside Festival, Copenhell, and in Frederiksberg Have for 30,000 people.
Jacobi has released five albums and an EP, and with her two latest, more electronic albums in Danish, Jacobi’s carrier expanded significantly. She has multiplied her audience, received five and six star reviews, got great media attention and was on the cover of GAFFA. Kim Skotte, Politiken, called Nana Jacobi “a cult figure among Danish pop singer-songwriters”.
The song ‘Hold Dit Hjerte Blødt’, featuring Annika Aakjær and Jeanett Albeck, has been called a “new classic”, and is being used, all over the country, in speeches, artworks, choirs, sermons, weddings, and people even get the lyrics tattooed on their bodies.
Jacobi originally had her breakthrough with the hit 'Open Sky' from the film 'En kort, en lang' - a song that has achieved a kind of evergreen status on DR P4.
